Your shop stays yours. Your privacy matters.
We built the Etsy Smart Store Audit to help you understand your shop, not to take control of it. Here is what the app can access, what it stores, and what happens when you use Ask Ava.
Read-only Etsy permission
We request only Etsy's shops_r and listings_r scopes. These allow the app to read available shop and listing data, including some non-public listing details. We do not request permissions to edit, publish, delete or change your Etsy listings or shop settings.
Your Etsy password stays with Etsy
You approve access using Etsy's own authorization screen. You never need to give us your Etsy password. You can disconnect the shop in your app dashboard.
Protected connection credentials
Etsy access and refresh tokens are encrypted before the app stores them. The application uses HTTPS and server-side credentials for protected services. Access to stored application data is restricted with database permissions and row-level security.
Ask Ava is optional
If you send a message to Ask Ava, your question and limited relevant shop, audit, or workspace context are sent to OpenAI to prepare an answer. Please do not enter passwords, card numbers, or other secrets into Ask Ava.
You can manage your data
Your dashboard offers a way to disconnect Etsy and a Delete My Ava Data control. The app also stores audit results, preferences, progress and usage events as described in our privacy policy. Third-party providers may retain some records under their own obligations.
No hidden shop edits
The app only recommends changes. Your store stays under your control. We do not intentionally sell connected-shop data. Payment processing, if enabled, is handled by Stripe; the app does not store full payment-card details.
Can anyone guarantee that my information will never be accessed?
No online app can guarantee absolute security. We use safeguards to reduce risk, limit Etsy permissions, and explain which services process data. Using the app means some data will be handled by Etsy, Vercel and Supabase, and, if you use those features, OpenAI and Stripe. Please review our privacy policy before connecting.
